Wild Horse Winery
Named for the wild mustangs that roamed the hills east of the vineyard estate, Wild Horse reflects a maverick approach to winemaking as wild as the region itself. Committed to sustainable practices—in wine and in business—the winemakers stand by the motto, “Live Naturally, Enjoy Wildly“. It’s that idea that inspires the folks at Wild Horse to work with the land, relying on graywater for more sustainable solutions and even employing llamas and sheep to weed the land. The history of this wine makes it a unique addition to any well-rounded cellar.
Long overshadowed by its Northern cousins, the Central Coast has lately gained serious accolades for its diverse variety of wines. This large grape-growing region’s climate changes from cold and foggy to hot and sunny making it ideal for grapes such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Rhône varietals.
