Strawberry Crêpes

A decadent dessert (or brunch!). The sweetness of the strawberries pairs well with the complexity of red blends.

  • 1/2 cup Skim Milk
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • 1 Egg; beaten
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Sauce
  • 1 cup Strawberries; sliced
  • Powdered Sugar; to taste

    In a large bowl, beat egg, milk, water, oil, flour, sugar, salt, and, nutmeg, until creamy.

    Coat the bottom of a baking pan with the mixture. Cook like a pancake, turning until both sides are golden brown. Repeat process until you have your desired number of crêpes.

    Separately, warm up chocolate sauce in a small sauce pan to carefully drizzle over finished crepês. Layer with strawberries and roll the crêpe up. Repeat process with each crêpe. Drizzle the remaining chocolate sauce over finished crêpes and top with remaining strawberries as garnish. Finish with a sprinkle of powdered sugar to taste.
