95 Points - Editor's Choice

From the beautiful, historic site planted to some of the oldest vines of the variety in Northern California, this delicious white explodes in juicy green apple and an intensity of fresh-squeezed lemon. That succulence lingers atop a lengthy, salty texture wrapped in subtle, supportive oak.

...a beauty...with luscious honeysuckle, lemon blossom, and tangerine oil notes, meduim body, beautiful concentration and purity, and a long, dry, authoritative finish.

Smooth, creamy and succulent, with toast, spice and lemon meringue flavors that have length and intensity. Juicy grapefruit and peach flavors mingle with whiffs of honeysuckle and lanolin on the finish.

This very pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc from the famed To Kalon Vineyard is for oak lovers. It opens with an oaky banana like bouquet with hints of pineapple and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is an oak influenced yellow grapefruit with notes of honey and Bosc pear some hints of pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors are very nicely prolonged. This is not your typical Sauvignon Blanc and will be enjoyed by readers who like oak-styled and aged white wines. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with pasta carbonara. Enjoy!
